You will board the vehicle to have an orientation tour of the surrounding area. During the orientation tour you will see the Grand theater of Ephesus, remains of the Artemis Temple which is one of the seven wonders of the ancient world, Seljuk Castle on Ayasuluk Hill, streets of Selcuk Town from a distance while passing by bus. A
At the end of the orientation tour you will arrive in Sirince Village, which was an old Orthodox village until 1920’s. Today the village is a perfect synthesis of Turkish – Greek culture. After the Turkish Independence War, people exchange between Greek and Turks has occurred and all those typical Greek Houses, though they kept their original outside characteristics, have received local layout inside.
At the village, you will have free time to walk around the narrow streets of the village and purchase some souvenirs and little local handicrafts if you wish.
From Sirince Village, you will proceed to a local Handicrafts Center, where you will have chance of receiving an exclusive explanation of the Turksh handicrafts and traditional carpet making process from dying to spinning to weaving while having refreshments.
Turkish handicrafts reflect an important cross-section of Turkey’s unique cultural accumulation. It is only possible to carry the handicrafts from present to the future by entering into an effort of continuing their production in traditional way and making them known to others. Turkish handicrafts have a distinguished place among handicrafts in the world due to the fact that they characterize Turkish folklore.
